For her commissioned work, environmental portraits of children, adults and animals in black and white or color, Edith Royce Schade is known by her nickname, "Duffy". In her personal work she celebrates the natural world, some of the people in it, and uses her photography to promote environmental awareness and stewardship. |

Edith Royce Schade is a popular lecturer, giving her multi-media slide shows to libraries, art and senior groups, nature centers and garden clubs throughout Connecticut.
